Nashwa Al Ruwaini among the World 100 Most Powerful Arab Women 2011

Nashwa Al Ruwaini, the famous media figure and CEO of Pyramedia, was chosen by CEO Middle East magazine, among the world 100 most powerful Arab women. The top 100 was published in the magazine latest issue, highlighting Arab women who have had a significant impact in fields like economy, media, culture, politics and others.

The CEO ME world 100 most powerful Arab women comes in celebration of the international women day, which takes place in March every year. The list aims to celebrate women accomplishments in the Arab World and underscore their pioneering efforts, successful experiences, and innovative projects in the region.

Nashwa Al Ruwaini was ranked among the top 50 coming in the 38 position, as well as the first media figure, among a list that was spearheaded by UAE Minister of Foreign Trade H.E. Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi, followed by Saudi Businesswoman, Lubna Al Alian, while Salma Hareb, CEO of the Economic Zones World and Jafza, landed third, Laila Al Solh, Director of Al Waleed Bin Talal Humanitarian Foundation in Lebanon came fourth, and the Egyptian Dalia Megahed, Advisor to the American President Barack Obama, secured the fifth rank

Commenting on this celebration of her achievements Al Ruwaini says: I am honored to be among the CEO ME top 100 most powerful Arab women for 2011. And I would like to thank the magazine for recognizing the efforts of Arab women in various fields. Being among this list assures me and proves that I am on the right track. It is also a responsibility that I have to live up to.

Nashwa Al Ruwaini was also selected by the popular Arabic magazine "Laha" last week among the top 100 most powerful women in the Middle East of all times. The magazine based its choice on Nashwa diverse business profile. Al Ruwaini is media advisor to several governments, governmental entities, NGO and high profile individuals.

Nashwa Al Ruwaini has also played a vital role in establishing and launching the Middle East Film Festival in Abu Dhabi. Miss Al Ruwaini is the CEO of Pyramedia which is the biggest production company in the Middle East and the Chairman of The Nashwa Foundation.
